Here at Black Sheep I recognise that our differences make us who we are, but that we may need some support navigating the challenges of daily life at times.
Not all sheep follow the flock....and they shouldn't have to
At Black Sheep Therapy, I believe that difference is not something to be fixed, hidden, or apologised for. It's part of who we are. Whether you're a child, young person, parent, or family member who has always felt a little outside the flock, I'm here to provide support that celebrates individuality while helping you navigate life's challenges.
I recognise that developmental differences, emotional difficulties, trauma, grief, mental health challenges, and the pressures of everyday life can affect how we participate in the world around us. My role isn't to change who you are — it's to help you and your family build the confidence, understanding, skills, and support needed to live the life that matters to you.
As an independent specialist practitioner with over 20 years of experience across pediatrics, neonatal mental health, CAMHS, international services, and independent practice, I provide compassionate, evidence-based support for children, young people, parents, and families from pregnancy through to young adulthood.
What We Do
At Black Sheep Therapy, I believe each child is unique, which is why I work in partnership with children and families to develop customised therapy plans tailored to their developmental, emotional, and psychological needs.
Black Sheep Therapy specialises in supporting children, young people, and families experiencing:
Support is available from pregnancy through childhood and adolescence, and into young adulthood (up to approximately 25 years of age), recognising that every stage of development brings its own unique challenges and opportunities.
How We Work
At Black Sheep Therapy, I don't believe in asking people to mask who they are in order to fit into the world around them.
Instead, I work collaboratively with children, young people, families, schools, and wider support networks to create practical, personalised, and meaningful therapeutic approaches that support participation, wellbeing, confidence, and independence.
Every person is different, which is why every intervention is different. My work is guided by evidence-based practice, lived experience, curiosity, compassion, and a belief that the best outcomes happen when individuals feel understood, accepted, and empowered to be themselves.
My goal isn't to help you fit into someone else's flock. It's to help you build a life that works for you.
Where?
I work with children and young people in their own environments. Life doesn't happen in a clinic room, so therapy shouldn't have to either. Black Sheep Therapy provides support in the places where children, young people, and families live, learn, and grow. This may include:
By working within everyday environments, I can ensure that strategies are practical, meaningful, and sustainable long after the session has ended.
"I created Black Sheep Therapy because every family deserves support that sees who they are, not who they are expected to be."
